Step 4: Create a Blog Posting About Your Experience
Questions and Topics for Your Blog Posting:
1. Hyperlink the Blogs you reviewed into your Blog
2. When looking at Project #1: (Elements and Principles), did you agree with the element or principle the artist listed with the images? Did you see other elements and principles in the images?
Blog 1: I thought that this project was well done, it was mentioned that this student had photography experience. The photos that were chosen were thought out, well done and fit all of the definitions that needed to be addressed. I thought that this student did an excellent job in terms of the assignment and the necessary measures that were asked. The photos fit every single word in the correct manner. I did see that the skull was used twice but that was an example of how it applied to two of the elements or principles.
Blog 2: For this blog, I could tell that the student followed all of the steps and completed everything necessary for the assignment. Compared with blog 1, this student was not as well versed or stated that he/she had experience in the photography world. When looking through the slideshow, I was impressed. The photos are high quality and a lot of time and effort went into this project. I thought that even though the student did not take photography classes like blog 1, the quality of the project equalled each other.I agreed with all of the photos taken indoors, and what the student was trying to convey.
3. When looking at Project #2: Where there any images in the Peer Blogs the same as your own? If yes, what were they? Where the reasons the image was selected the same or different as your own?
Blog 1: Yes this blog posted about, This is not a Fountain and The Cycle these two I choose to talk about in my project. The similarities to the sculpture of the pots and pans from this students project to mine would be what else we would like to find out. This student suggested that they wanted to find out more about the artists and the backstory as a whole. I agreed, I was fascinated with the artist conceptually and as a person. As for, The Cycle the student states that this had the most impactful visual appearance on them. I agree but there was more of an emotional tie to the backstory and the product of this piece that was influential to me. The scale and the process that this artist used is unique and impactful to any human.
Blog 2: This blog chose artworks from the permanent collection of the Albright-Knox. I did not choose any of these for my project so there is no comparison there. Although the images do not line up within the parameters of the project, I absolutely adore some of the paintings that this student chose. The permanent collection has such amazing works form artist that so well known around the world and have had such an impact on the art world. For an example the student uses Picasso, Pollock, Rothko and a couple other influential artists from the past century.
4. Where there any images that your Peers selected that pique your interest now? If yes, what are they and what is your connection with them? What would you want to know about them?
Blog 1: When I visited the Albright-Knox I was intrigued by on of the sculptures that were mentioned in their project. The copper sculpture, We The People from 2011-2016 by Danh Vo was a very interesting part of the exhibition. Overall I loved the concept of the artist work on the second floor of the art museum. The artist trying to convey society of people in relation to themes and concepts of modern life is really moving and enticing. The other paintings that were used as examples included some landscape or architecture in subject matter. Although I can enjoy this type of work i really am a person who thrives off of concepts and skill pertaining to painting.
Blog 2: This blog, again used all examples from the permanent collection located at Albright-Knox. They used and explain classics and other well known artist’s work. Due to my major in the arts, I have studying a lot of the artists on the first floor of Albright-Knox due to the involvement and the influence they had on other artists and societies of their time. Although i am familiar with the art in the Albright I am always interested in all of the art produced by these amazing artists that were part of this students project.

There is evidence of their work evolving and changing while still keeping the same ideals in mind of the project. I thought that as a reader and analyzer of the work, the text and explanations helped in the understanding of the project and from the students point of view.
Blog 2: This blog used text to convey the issues, roadblocks and also successes of their project. I really enjoyed reading though that intrigued this student and how they got to their final project. This student explained all of the steps and thought process of the project that was necessary to aiding of the reader to understand his point of view. I thought this helped me understand where this person was at and how much time and effort they put into making sure it was done correctly.

When reviewing my blog’s comments about the Albright- Knox reflection that I completed. I was pleased to see that I had information that my peers could take from my descriptions and apply it or add it to their knowledge. I do find their comments helpful because it lets know know that I am doing the assignment correct and relaying information in helpful and formative way.
