Reflection journal of the creative and technical process of making a slideshow via Photo bucket:
The process that I began this project was through reading all of the directions, expectations and what the overall result needed to be. I read over the elements in the textbook in Part Two and then the principles of design. Shortly after I began to scan my environment to see what I could take photos of. This was the most creative part of the slide show. I needed to have an eye for what each of the elements were and how to represent them effectively. I started to gather the ones that were the simplest to understand and represent, then I got more in depth with the difficult ones. I wanted to make sure that I was effectively transporting the photos in Photo bucket and representing everything as it is stated in the text. I put all of the 14 images together, and reviewed them, making sure each of them had the right label corresponding to the photos. As a reflective portion of the slideshow, the element that was the most challenging to represent was space. This was a concept in art that I have struggled with because it is not the concept of space itself. It refers to space on the picture plane divided up to make other shapes in the contrasted space.
I was extremely impressed with your collection of photos. It was obvious to me that you must have some experience in art and photography. Were you working with a very advanced camera on this? Some of my favorite photos were of the roof (pattern) I thought that his photo really captured the idea of pattern and not only that, it was visually appealing as well. I think this was what I liked about your collection....your pictures not only fit the elements but they are also frame worthy pics! I thought the blinds that you used for line were a great idea and I actually love that there is a person in this picture as well. Overall, awesome job.
